What Can I Expect in a Typical Reiki Session?
Each session will be different for each individual. Your practitioner Anchalee (Charlie)(Female) will attempt to understand the root cause to your emotional distress and confusion, leaving you feeling open with a strong sense of comfort. A Reiki session is usually given to a fully clothed recipient and is offered through a light, non-invasive touch with the practitioner’s hands placed and held on a series of locations on the head, front and back of the torso. The Reiki experience is subjective, and sometimes very soft or subtle. People can experience heat in the practitioner’s hands, but often the practitioner’s hands feel refreshingly cool. Other common experiences are mild pulsations where the practitioner’s hands are placed, or waves of pulsations throughout the body. People often comment on how comforting they find the experience of Reiki to be.
Your practitioner may suggest a series of sessions. Four sessions is a traditional recommendation, as it gives you time to assess and evaluate what benefits you are receiving from each treatment both mentally and emotionally. Discuss with your practitioner how best to space the sessions to suit your needs and your daily schedule.
